A Sturdy Feat
This photo is a picture of one of the business school buildings on the University of Michigan campus. I took this photo from on top of a parking deck so I could get a better view of the building. I chose this composition because I liked how the poles on the building looked and how there were so many different lines and angles. I thought with the blueprint edit on it the building would look really cool. The feeling I was trying to convey was a secure feeling. I thought I could create this feeling because the poles and the way the building is designed makes the building look sturdy. This helps then convey the feeling of being secure. A struggle I had when taking this photo is not being able to get too close to the edge of the parking structure because I am afraid of heights and I didn't want to drop me and my moms phone, which I was taking pictures from.
Peaceful Surroundings
This is another set of buildings I took a picture of on top of a parking structure. I don't know exactly what each building is used for but the buildings had a really nice look to them. I chose this composition because I thought that all the different textures would come out in the photo and make the photo look nice and complete. The feeling I was trying to convey with this photo is a peaceful feeling. All the greenery and the comfortable look to the buildings help me to create this feeling of calmness and peacefulness. A struggle I had with these photos is again that I couldn't too close cause I'm afraid of heights and falling.
The Mysterious Unknown
This is a picture of the Law school building on University of Michigan's campus. I took my photos right next to the building and on the ground. I chose this composition because I have always thought that the law school buildings were always the prettiest and always loved how the buildings looked like an old castel. The feeling I was trying to convey was a mysterious feeling because I think that castles while they have beauty to them they also have mystery's. So, when I thought that this building looks like a castle it was perfect for creating a mysterious feeling. Also, with the blue print edit on the photos it makes the castel looked even more secretive and mysterious. A struggle I had when taking this photo is there is something surrounding the building so I couldn't get too close and when I wanted to get closer it was hard to.
A Creative Approach
This is a photo of the metal horse art inside of the business school on Michigan campus. I took my photos right next to them and on the same level. I chose this composition because the metal horse art looks unique and eye catching. It's amazing that metal pieces were bent into a horse shape. The feeling I was trying to convey with these photos was an irregular feeling. The way the metal bends and rusts to create two horses is very unique and it's not something you see every day. So, this create an irregular feeling. A struggle I had when taking the photos was that there was a barrier around the horses so I had to make sure that wasn't in the photos of he horses but still able to get close enough to see the detail and texture of the horses.
A Fun Place
This is a photo of the other business school building on the University of Michigan campus. However, instead of getting up high I decided to get close and take the photos from below. I chose this composition because I likes all the textures that are on the buildings and I thought that the textures would really pop in the the blue print edit. The feeling I was trying to convey was a more pleasant or joyful feeling because the brightness of the sky and the brightness of the color of the building helps create this more joyful feeling. A struggle I had when taking these photos was waiting for people to walk by so I didn't get any people in my photos.
